About us

What is House of Hope?

The House of Hope for Costa Rican Children is a non-governmental organization (NGO) based in the United States. The organization is registered with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a 501©3 nonprofit and is also registered in the state of Florida. All funds raised by House of Hope are used exclusively to support our programs in Costa Rica. Through our La Casa de los Niños Foundation branch, we provide children at social risk and in selected communities around the country with feeding and development opportunities, enabling them to complete the formal education process and break the cycle of poverty in their lives in a sustainable way.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE WORLD

At House of Hope, we are dedicated to global transformation. To this end, we have aligned ourselves with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, as proposed by the United Nations.

Guided by the principle of "leave no one behind," we have signed the National Agreement for the Sustainable Development Goals. In alignment with this agreement, we will collectively endeavor to achieve seven of the seventeen aforementioned goals.
